Very interesting article on developmentally appropriate practices. I like the term "developmentally". Some children acquire learning at different levels and I'm pleased to know that the NAEYC focuses on widening the lens of educators in an effort to help students achieve measurable goals.
ReplyDeleteThere are many great resources here. I especially liked reviewing the National Institute for Play. I love Brian Sutton-Smith's quote: "The opposite of play is not work - it is depression". So very true! Play is an intricate part of our well being and so much can be learned via play. Thank you for a great resource!
